Fiduciary is not what we do, it's who we are! To serve as a fiduciary is an honor and a duty. With this appointment comes great responsibility and an implication of trustworthiness that is distinctly different from the common notion of just doing the right thing. To serve in a fiduciary capacity, in the context of an employer-sponsored retirement plan signifies the highest duty of loyalty and care known to law.*
We are committed to providing our clients with the highest standards of fiduciary and compliance excellence.
*Donovan v. Bierwirth, 680 F. 2nd 263 (2nd Cir. 1982)
For individuals who serve as trustees, fiduciaries or committee members, these words often bring about anxiety or at least some form of tension or uneasiness.
At Fiduciary Consulting Group, our goal is to help you either a) understand and implement prudent practices in the management of your fiduciary duties and responsibilities; or b) take on those fiduciary management duties and responsibilities for you.
FiduciaryEdge is our patented process for management and oversight of a retirement plan. For those businesses and non-profit entities that wish to outsource their compliance and management responsibilities, Fiduciary Consulting Group (FCG) may be engaged to manage the plan and the plan's service providers.
FCG is appointed by the business owners or board of directors to serve as the 3(16) Named Plan Administrator and 402 Named Fiduciary with the responsibility to prudently manage the plan, including administrative, operational, and regulatory compliance. Engaging FCG as your Responsible Plan Fiduciary provides your business the "fiduciary edge."
FCG provides a comprehensive, plan management outsourcing solution for any business or other entity that sponsors a retirement plan.
Our plan management solution protects the business or organization and its board of directors from conflicts of interest AND allows executives along with human resources, benefits, and finance staff to focus their time and energy on their work, productivity, and profitability.
"In recent years, a new segment of the retirement plan industry has emerged: firms that say they provide "plan administration" or "3(16) " services, that say they will relieve the employer and its personnel of the responsibility for operating the plan. This may seem attractive, but employers need to read the fine print. Are they getting the services, and relief, they think they are? And is the entity they engage fully capable of delivering on its promises?"
"I have had the opportunity to review how FCG conducts its business. FCG's "back office" operations - the steps it takes and the lengths to which it goes to make sure it is doing the job right - are remarkable."
"Engaging a professional to do a highly technical job makes sense, but making sure it is the right professional makes even more sense."
The foundation of our firm is our people; professionals committed to excellence in stewardship of our resources and responsibilities. Each member our team has a heart to serve. We look forward to the opportunity to serve you.
Prudence is about process. Our firm has developed and implemented the required systems and processes to effectively manage the administrative and operational compliance of a retirement plan.
